Krita Reference Images
Hey there! Krita, my favorite open source drawing program, has a great feature for using reference images. I use tons of reference images when drawing. Before bothering to learn about the reference feature in Krita, I used to just to just have a document open next to my illustration document and would paste the reference images into it. This worked ok, but it was a bit of hassle if I wanted to move the reference really close to my illustration or to keep track of which reference images document went with the illustration I was working on. So, I dug into it and I should have done it earlier! Enough…

I love spooky season; I love the decorations and the colors and seeing how everyone else celebrates it. I also love the food: pan de muerto, pumpkin spice drinks, candy. And here are some old stickers I made for the Apple App Store some time ago.

Real Pencil Bundle Sketch
Here’s a quick sketch I did of … dunno … she looks like she could be the killer “dame” in a Vault of Horror comic book. This sketch was done to test out Ramon Miranda’s Real Pencil Bundle Sketch. You can get version 1 of his brushes from this forum post on Krita Artists. There are two categories of brushes in the bundle (as well as two bundles, one supporting tablets with tilt, one without). I’ll have more to say about them once I experiment with them. Take a look at the thread in that link. It has some incredible drawings, including one I really liked that uses these brushes…
